Write-in, Write-in !!
April Patalocco, a retired Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager with over 20 years of experience, is a write-in candidate for the South Carolina House of Representatives in District 66. With a rich background in commercial real estate and a lifelong passion for community and nature, April brings a unique perspective to her campaign, focusing on the issues that matter most to the residents of District 66.
April spent much of her time in rural northern Michigan, where her love for nature, wildlife, and family was nurtured. Her father, an engineer with the Department of Defense, and her mother, a successful artist and small business owner, instilled in her the values of hard work and community service. April's journey took her from Goldman Sachs in New York City to Visteon Corporation (Ford Motor Co), where she excelled as a Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager. Her professional experience has equipped her with the skills and commitment needed to serve as an elected official.
April Patalocco is committed to addressing key issues facing her community:
-Pedestrian Safety and Walkability: "The walkability of our neighborhoods is essential for our children's safety," says April. She is dedicated to enhancing pedestrian infrastructure by filling the gaps in crosswalks and sidewalks throughout the community.
-Mental Health: April believes in bringing mental health equity into schools. "We must protect all children in need and meet them where they are in a timely fashion. Equity means action," she states.
-Education: "We have a duty to fully fund an education for every child," April emphasizes. She is determined to protect public education from outside interests and ensure accountability in charter schools.
April's opponent, Jackie Terribile, is running on a platform that includes banning books and advancing private voucher-funded education, backed by Ralph Norman and the Freedom Caucus. In contrast, April stands for inclusive, equitable education and community-focused solutions.
Voters in District 66 have a clear choice. They can choose a candidate who prioritizes pedestrian safety, mental health, and education for all children, or they can opt for an agenda that undermines public education and community values. The stakes in this election are high, as the outcome will shape the future of education and community safety in District 66
Write-in April Patalocco to bring positive change to District 66 and ensure a brighter future for all.
